Yes, I think these papers are few in number. What I am less sure of is how frequent we should expect them to be given the size of the two fields. If they are indeed rare even by this compartive measure, then I would want to lay some of the blame on linguistics, which can be insular, especially the subfields that are close to Chomsky.
